Sad fishy..

This is one of my fish. (I only have two, but that's two too many!!) His name is Stick.. I'm feeling so bad for him.. As you can see (or sort of see in this fuzzy picture; the tank makes taking a photo challenging), his tank-mate has eaten all his fins off... He'd done this once before, and I thought for sure Stick would die, but he recovered. This time I'm separating them for good.. I swear fish are more of a pain than a dog or a cat!!

Yes, this is how exciting my world is these days.. Wounded fish being the highlight..

Ha Ha, aren't we all just lame...

fish are irritating. why did you get them? for your cat's entertainment? (that is why i want them- the cats would love that!) we have a fish tank on the counter in our kitchen, and when people come over they always look in it, looking for our fish- well we don't have any. Its the cats' water dish. It keeps the water fresh and they love it (and stopped drinking out of the toilet!)

leaner,
wouldn't it have been a lot easier to get that hubby of yours to just put the seat down?? trevor doesn't get on the bathroom counter where the fish are located, but i got these particular fish when my last gf was living here momentarily. her cats loved them.

dacheese,
this fish is also very EVIL. but i just can't bring myself to flush him, so instead i now have this ugly screen divider in my tank..

I have two fish. THEY WON"T DIE!!!! I got them for the cat to play with (he would run toward the tank and attack them, fricken hilarious) thay are over 2 years old, don't always get fed approriatly, have killed all their tankmates, survived a move from flag to cooltown in a plastic baggie........i think they may be possessed.

we put the seat down, but the cat jumps on the back of the seat while you are using it! He is very curious and wants to "help"

I can attest to hairball's fish being possessed! We put them in my cats' water tank (i think she was hoping for death!) and the dang cats just couldn't kill them. They had killed another fish in the tank (its like a 1 gall tank)

I remember having wonderful fish in my tank and plants that were actually growing. Then your dad brought home two oscars and the next morning there was nothing left in the tank except the two oscars. We went on vacation up to Washington and Tif-do fed for us, I told her she could kill the fish but instead, when we came back they had had babies - that was the end of my fish rearing days.
